ceramic vase, underglaze drawing, 86 x 41 x 41 cm.
In this work I explore the eternal theme of the spiritual tossing of the character from Shakespeare's poem Hamlet.
Sensual and naive at the same time, this character is surrounded by beautiful girls, including the drowned Ophelia, who offer themselves to Hamlet as the main gift in his life. But the hero is completely confused, and is unable to choose one from a large range of offers. The libido of the protagonist is depicted as a blue bird, ready to fly away at any moment. And the body of the hero is placed in the sacred symbol of the almond-shaped vagina. For me, this work combines humor and lyricism, with quotes from examples of world art.
